Quote of the Day

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part.
"And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop.
"And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all."

i was particularly moved by this episode too. i seriously don't know how i'd cope without amy goodman in my world. i guess if all these kids are forced to drop out of school they'll have no other choice, given "the jobless recovery", besides signing up for war- how completely convenient!

Becky, I had one optimistic thought that angry young people can be a blessing for this country. Millions around the world are protesting and our owners have effectively snuffed out all protest urges and efforts. I found myself longing for these kids to get very angry and direct this where it belongs - towards the corporate thieves. Let the kids lead and we will follow.
